2. Optional Budget Verification (2%)
While NoFee is completely free to use, clients can optionally choose to verify their project budget by paying a small 2% fee. This is entirely optional - you can use the platform without ever paying anything.

5. Direct Payments Between Users
Important Notice
NoFee does NOT process payments between clients and freelancers. All project payments are made directly between parties using their preferred payment methods.
Clients and freelancers are responsible for:
- Agreeing on payment terms and methods
- Processing project payments directly
- Managing payment disputes
- Complying with tax obligations
Popular payment methods used by our users include PayPal, bank transfer, Wise, Payoneer, and cryptocurrency. Both parties should discuss and agree on payment methods before starting work.
6. Paying the Platform Fee
The platform fee can be paid using:
- PayPal: Secure online payments
- Credit/Debit Card: Visa, Mastercard, American Express (via PayPal)
7. Refund Policy
7.1 Budget Verification Refunds
If you've paid the platform fee upfront (budget verification) and wish to cancel:
- Before assigning a freelancer: Full refund available via "Withdraw Deposit"
- After assigning a freelancer: Non-refundable (the fee supports the completed transaction)
7.2 Project Payment Disputes
Since project payments are made directly between clients and freelancers, NoFee is not responsible for resolving payment disputes. We encourage users to:
- Clearly define payment terms before starting work
- Use milestone-based payments for larger projects
- Keep records of all communications and agreements
8. Changes to Fees
We reserve the right to modify our fee structure. If we make changes:
- We will provide at least 30 days notice before changes take effect
- Notice will be sent via email and posted on the platform
- Existing verified jobs will keep their original fee rate
9. Why Our Fees Are Low
Our 2% fee is significantly lower than many competing platforms (which charge 10-20%) because:
- We don't process payments between users (avoiding transaction fees)
- We operate lean with efficient technology
- We prioritize user value over maximum revenue
